For over 25 years, "Baba" Steve Evans has taken photographs as he travels the globe as a communications specialist. He picked up the prefix "Baba" (the Shona salutation for "sir" or "mister") while he was living in Zimbabwe in the 1980s. Although he now lives in South Asia, the term stuck as a nickname. While Steve has photographed people and places on five of the seven continents, his focus is primarily on Asia. Steve's photos have been published in Wikipedia articles, educational materials, travel websites, and more. Yahoo honored him as the top photographer on their "Best of 2006 -- Great Year for Photography. " He was featured in the photo magazine " Beyond Shotz" and has had one show, "African Portrait," held in Nicosia, Cyprus, in cooperation with Nigerian artist Ben Adedipe. He plans to publish his first photography book by Christmas 2007. To see more of Steve's photos, visit his Flickr site, which he updates regularly: www.flickr.com/photos/babasteve.
